The One Accountant was set up in Dubai in 2021 to challenge how operations, finance and accounting were being delivered to smaller companies in the Emirates. The premise was straightforward: startups and SMEs were paying for compliance and receiving nothing that helped them run the business.
Five years on, more than 300 clients rely on the firm for bookkeeping, VAT, corporate tax, payroll, audit support and compliance. The team handles accounts prepared under IFRS and other generally accepted principles, and the firm manages accounts across all six GCC countries — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. Digital automation and outsourcing carry the routine load; people handle the judgement.

Two decades across the MENA region, spanning finance control, IT and digital performance marketing. Started his career as a finance controller and IT supervisor in a four-star hotel, then spent more than thirteen years in marketing — six of them heading digital performance — and two years running operations for a cloud-born company. He has managed remote teams for over fifteen years, which is why the firm was built remote-first from day one.

More than four decades of work, twenty of them heading finance departments. His sector experience runs through manufacturing, FMCG, automobile wholesale distribution, construction, advertising and claims management, at groups including SANYO India, Alloy Rods, Lintas India and IRIS Health Services Dubai. He builds outsourcing operations in Dubai, Bangalore and Kochi covering finance, HR, legal, claims, IT and business valuation.

Around two decades in human resources, covering manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, skill-gap analysis, training, industrial relations and public relations. He has partnered with IRIS Group, HLL Lifecare, Cosmoplast, KIMS and ICICI Prudential Life. Trained in ISO standards, SAP Human Capital, and labour law in India, the UAE and Oman.
